Debt Solutions & Financial Help

Debt is something that affects people from all walks of life and we see it as our role to help find the solution that puts you on the path to a brighter future. Here at Aperture, we take a truly caring and non-judgemental approach to helping you on your journey to recovery.

We know that coping with debt can be a stressful time and can even impact other areas of your life, such as relationships and your general health. That is why we try to make the process as clear and easy for you as possible.

If an IVA is an option for you, we will provide you with your own personal advisor who will work with you on your application right up until it has been approved and put in place. Of course, we will continue to support and guide you throughout the life of your plan and are always here to answer any queries you may have.

If we do not think an IVA is your best option, we will advise you on what your options are and put you in touch with your local free money advice service.

If you would like to discuss your situation further, you can call us on 0800 030 6077 or 0333 939 7919 or arrange a face-to-face meeting with your local advisor.

Debt Help Options

Choice is great, but sometimes there is too much choice and it can be difficult to know what options you have.

In the UK, the main debt solutions are an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA), Debt Management Plan (DMP), Debt Relief Order (DRO) and bankruptcy.

Alternative solutions include an Informal Agreement with Creditors, Debt Re-organisation/Consolidation Loan or a County Court Administration Order (CCAO).

The right option for you depends entirely on your circumstances, level of debt and preference. An IVA compares very favourably with other methods of dealing with debt but if an IVA is not the most suited solution for you, we will advise you accordingly and help you understand the next steps you can take. If you live in Scotland, it is not possible to get an IVA but there is a similar option known as a Trust Deed.

Have a look at our Comparison Table to see summary of how all the debt solutions compare against each other.
